Hi and welcome to Hank Made.

My name is Evan Hancock and yes, you guessed it, I make stuff!

The Best part of being a Designer Maker, is working with great people. Building furniture and custom joinery that you know is going to be used and loved for years and years to come.

If you're looking for custom-made, hand-crafted furniture or joinery then you're in the right place. I have been making for over 20 years now. It's something that I am extremely passionate about, put simply, I love working with wood.

I love using timber with all its imperfections, like us if we find the right way to work with these imperfections the outcome is amazing. I don’t like timber that is just straight grain, one colour. I enjoy simple, functional designs.

Now a little about me, I Live in Tasmania, Married, four boys, one dog, two cats and four chickens. Sleep deprived and love my life. Enjoy a good dad joke, never had a speeding ticket, don't like sharks, fart jokes are always funny and above all, Love my four lads and amazing wife. oh, and wish I had a tractor....

Smalls please

Every so often I make small batch runs of wooden boxes, coasters, chopping boards etc. I like to make these for special occasions mainly so there are some memory's associated with the piece. If you're interested get in touch... and no, the price doesn't double for weddings!

From the Gallery

This is good starting point for most people. We start with a Hank Made design, we make some slight alterations, look at timbers and finish that suit you. Then we build it.
